ILES kicks off summer reading program

Fisherwoman Frieda and Eartha B. Worm visited the Indian Lake Elementary School at the end of the school year to kick off the school’s summer reading program.

The presenters noted that by reading over the summer, students typically maintain or improve their current reading level. Each student received a summer reading log, which they can turn in during the fall to receive prizes, such as sunglasses, a new book, an extra recess or an ice cream sundae treat.
