Goody’s donates to Sigma Phi Gamma effort

Members of the local Nu Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority recently partnered with Goody’s for the retail company’s 30 Days of Giving campaign, which helped to raise more than $1,000 for several local projects.

Across the country, the campaign supported organizations that make a positive impact in their communities.
During March, Nu Beta members sold Goody’s discount cards for a donation, which were added to donations from area customers and associates.

The financial donation from Goody’s will benefit three Nu Beta supported-efforts — Logan County Weekday Religious Education, the Backpack Project that supplies meals for local children, and Relay For Life.

Sigma Phi Gamma is a friendship and service sorority whose members give hands-on and financial support to many individuals and charitable causes, both through local chapters and on the national level.

The Bellefontaine Goody’s store manager recently Norma Jean Jones presented a check to Nu Beta members Jayne McAdams, KimberLee Kinney, Cindy Titus, Diane Hager, Shirley Meeker and Mary Ransbottom. Other Nu Beta members include Missy Gantner, Marj Branch, Ceila Lange, Nancy Forsythe and Julie Schrader.
