Longtime Court Avenue building comes down

court-lounge-demo

A pile of bricks, wood and other debris is all that remains today of the building at 126-128 E. Court Ave. which was torn down early Sunday in the downtown area. Many years ago the building housed the former Equity Dairy and then McLaughlin’s Wee Ben cafeteria, both owned by Arlington and Ruth McLaughlin. The Court Lounge later occupied the space for several years before the property was purchased by current owner Keith Ross Sr. Most recently the building had been used for storage with the second floor serving as an apartment.
