‘Hands-on’ learning project results in ornaments

Riverside Elementary School kindergartners recently worked with Karen Wisses’ Family and Consumer Science students to create Santa ornaments that they gave as presents to their families.
Each kindergarten class visited the high school classroom, and together the students measured and mixed the ingredients for the dough to make the ornaments. The kindergartners made hand impressions in the dough, and then the ornaments were baked to complete the project.
