Scott and Jayne Young of Lakeview were greeted by a large land tortoise while touring Santa Cruz Island, part of the Galapagos Islands, during their trip over the Thanksgiving holiday. The couple spent two weeks in Ecuador, which included 10 days exploring the Galapagos Islands. They took several hikes on the islands to see the different birds and iguanas that live there. Mr. and Mrs. Young also snorkeled with sea lions, fur seals, penguins and sea turtles, and stayed at a turtle camp on Santa Cruz Island.
