ILHS SADD chapter prepares for Red Ribbon Week

Members of the Indian Lake High School SADD chapter are preparing for Red Ribbon Week, which is slated for Oct. 29 through Nov. 2.

Each day will offer a different theme that encourages students to not use drugs:

Monday, Oct. 29 — Black out drugs; wear black or black-out Indian Lake T-shirts.

Tuesday, Oct. 30 — Say peace out to drugs; wear 70’s dress or tye-dye.

Wednesday, Oct. 31— Put a cap on drugs and “hairs” to a drug-free life; wear hats with crazy hair.

Thursday, Nov. 1 — I’m too bright for drugs; wear neon or bright colors.

Friday, Nov. 2 — Stay in the game, be drug free; wear athletic wear or team jerseys.

The week of Oct. 15-19 was Teen Driver Safety Week, where SADD members provided daily tips for safe driving, with emphasis given to not texting and driving.

SADD officers for the 2012-13 school year area member-at-large Audriana Jordan, president Savannaha Osborne, vice president Kelsey Allison, secretary Brad McIntire and treasurer Klay Nichols.
