Students and staff at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center gathered Wednesday afternoon in the Sloan Inn to celebrate the late Dr. Earl Sloan for his dedication to career-technical education. OHP students thanked the Sloan Foundation and Trustees and spoke about the benefits of having industry-leading technology as they prepare for their future careers. Sloan Trustees play a key role in purchasing the equipment used in the Hi-Point labs, allowing students opportunities to work hands on with the equipment, gaining knowledge that helps them have an edge in the job market agains others who are the same age but have less experience. Without the support of the Sloan Foundation, OHP would not be the high-caliber career center it is today.
