Parks district hopes to obtain outdoor cinema this summer

Families, teens and youths could be enjoying movies under the stars by mid-summer if the Bellefontaine Joint Parks and Recreation District is successful in landing the remainder of the funding it needs to make the project happen.

Western Outreach announces summer food, program schedule

Through a grant from the United Way, the Western Neighborhood Outreach Center again will offer a summer food program with free lunches for children from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning June 6 and continuing through Aug. 12, at the center.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office currently are investigating a home invasion that occurred Tuesday evening at 110 N. Oak St., Lakeview, where an armed suspect wearing a mask reportedly entered the residence.

Man admits theft-related crimes

Joey Hines, 32, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Logan County Common Pleas Court to eight counts of theft, one count of forgery and one count of safecracking.
