Theron M. Scott, 28, of County Road 5, Zanesfield, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to control and obstructing official business following a crash about 5:30 a.m. Sunday. 

A West Mansfield man was charged with three counts of domestic violence, using weapons while intoxicated and criminal damaging Sunday evening after he allegedly made threats with a gun at his residence.

On Friday morning and throughout the afternoon, a man who wishes to remain anonymous stood at the layaway desk at Bellefontaine’s Wal-Mart, paying off customer accounts as they came to pick them up, store employees report.

The items he paid for — totaling approximately $30,000 — were primarily toys and gifts for children.

Other donors have made similar gifts in past Christmas seasons, but this was one of the larger amounts given by an individual, employees report.
