Auditor: Mayor’s email account hacked

Just prior to the start of Tuesday’s Bellefontaine City Council meeting, Auditor Jack Reser said he got a somewhat startling email exchange from the account of Mayor Ben Stahler, who is on a city business trip to Japan this week.

Assault reported

McKINLEY

Dallas C. McKinley, 41, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for assault and menacing after a 6:30 p.m. Tuesday incident at a 401 W. Brown Ave. apartment building. He allegedly pushed and spit on his girlfriend Jody K. Williams and threatened Cynthia Kirkpatrick of a neighboring apartment.

Engine reported stolen from business

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded Friday to Anderson Ford, 2348 S. U.S. Route 68, Bellefontaine, to speak with the owner about a theft.
