Head-on collision sends 2 to hospital with serious injuries

Nick Kite, 17, of rural Urbana, and Steven Grimes, 34, of rural Zanesfield, each was transported by CareFlight helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton for serious injuries sustained in a head-on collision Monday evening in Champaign County.

School delays/cancellations for Oct. 7

Indian Lake, Benjamin Logan and Riverside Schools have canceled classes for today, Wednesday, Oct. 7. First Wednesdays Kid Club at DeGraff United Methodist Church also is canceled today and has rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14. The following schools are on a two-hour delay: Waynesfield-Goshen, Upper Scioto Valley and Ridgement. A one-hour delay is in effect for RTC Industries.

Investigators rule second fire as ‘undetermined’
