Indian Lake bus driver remembered

Indian Lake Local School District buses bore black ribbons today in honor of bus driver Yvonne Burk, 50, of Rushsylvania, who died about 7:30 p.m. Friday while driving on south U.S. Route 68 near the Logan/Champaign County line. She then lost control of her vehicle, which drove off the road. No other vehicle was involved. Grief counselors were in place at the schools today, officials reported. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home in Kenton. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Kenton.
