First responders clear the scene of a two-car crash that occurred about 2:45 p.m. Friday at the intersection of U.S. Route 33 and County Road 57, and injured two people. Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Shannon Castle, 40, of Bellefontaine was eastbound on County Road 57 when she pulled into the path of Kayce Rowe, 18, of Harrod, who was westbound on U.S. 33. Mrs. Castle, and a passenger, Adam Castle of Bellefontaine, were each transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries. Ms. Rowe was not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Bellefontaine and Huntsville fire and EMS each responded. Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol also assisted. Mr. and Mrs. Castle are Indian Lake-area Examiner carriers, and delivery of Friday’s edition was delayed. (EXAMINER PHOTO | T.J. HUBBARD)
