‘Walk this Way’ focus of Laker Zone assembly

Remembering to “walk this way” was the focus of the recent Second Quarter Laker Zone Assembly teaching good hallway behavior at Indian Lake Elementary School. The “Zone Busters” were back to remind students how to face forward, keep their hands to themselves and be helpful while making their way from one location to another in the school building.

Forklift operator sentenced to 30 months

MARYSVILLE — Former Bellefontaine area resident John P. Hixon, 51, was recently sentenced to 30 months in prison for his role in the Jan. 4, 2016, death of a contractor at Honda R&D Americans Raymond facility.
