Outstanding youth leadership to be recognized

Outstanding youth leaders will be honored during the annual Logan County Youth Leadership ceremony at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the Bellefontaine First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave., with each Youth Leadership Impact Team from Bellefontaine City, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake and Riverside High Schools presenting awards to their respective recipients.

As a World War II veteran serving in Okinawa, Japan, and the Pacific Theatre, Roger Timmons of Huntsville has seen a lot in his 90 years, but never the inside of a school bus. That was until Monday when Indian Lake school bus driver Elizabeth Grube and about 25 passengers pulled up to his Seminole Island home to fulfill a longtime dream.
