Indian Lake levy ups and downs

In May, Indian Lake Schools saw its request for new money from voters defeated again by a count of 1,428 to 1,260. The school district was asking for a five-year, 7.2-mill renewal levy with an increase of $821,000.

Boating incident leads to man’s death, misdemeanor charge

Lance D. Minnich, 22, of 904 W. County Road 57, Huntsville, was charged with exceeding the weight limit of a watercraft, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, in connection with a Labor Day weekend drowning on Indian Lake that claimed the life of 22-year-old Joshua Keith of rural Bellefontaine.
