Police nab scam artist

Kirk A. Wilhite Jr., 33, of Columbus, an alleged credit scam artist, was arrested Sunday on Athens County warrants for burglary and two counts of aggravated arson. Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department also charged him with forgery, identity theft and tampering with evidence.

Traffic stop results in arrest for passenger

Bradley S. Couch, 36, of 868 E. Sandusky Ave., Apt. 241, Bellefontaine, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was issued a Logan County grand jury warrant for trafficking in drugs following a traffic stop Monday evening.
