Authorities look at family’s 3rd death in 13 months

Local authorities have called in state investigators to help look at the overnight death of three-month-old Noah Pilkington, the third son of Joseph and Brittany Pilkington to die in the past 13 months.

“We’ve asked BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation) to send us an investigator to give us another set of eyes ... a fresh look,” Bellefontaine Police Chief Brandon Standley said.

He said the agent is part of BCI’s Crimes Against Children Unit.

A BCI crime scene investigator also was at the Pilkington’s 868 E. Sandusky Ave., Apt. 215, residence.

Police dispatchers received a 911 phone call at 3:04 a.m. from the 23-year-old Mrs. Pilkington regarding an unresponsive child.
