Man arrested for his role in drug overdose death

SIDNEY — Thomas McMahon, 31, of 627 N. Main Ave., Sidney, has been arrested by Sidney Police officers and charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony, for his role in the drug overdose death Sunday of Bryan Thompson, 31, of 317 New Street, Sidney.

Part-time police officer approved

West Liberty Village Council approved a part-time officer for the village police department and final reading of an ordinance that will do away with two parking spaces near the intersection of U.S. routes 245 and 68. A photo of the spaces involved appeared recently in the Examiner.
