Travis L. May, 26, of 217 E. Main St., Belle Center, was charged with felony drug abuse following an overdose incident at his residence Wednesday evening.

Deceased boys get grave marker

A great-uncle of the three boys allegedly suffocated by their mother over a 13-month period said he and other family members are grateful for the efforts of a Bellefontaine woman that resulted in a granite marker being placed at the boys’ previously unmarked graves.

A woman charged with complicity in a child beating case is not the mother of the seven-year-old boy, family members report.

Cassandra Haddox, 24, of 212 Walker St., is the stepmother, but was identified as the mother in police reports.

Her husband, Steven Haddox, 30, was charged with domestic violence and child endangering. He remains in the Logan County Jail.
