Burglars target homes

Melissa D. Ward, 120 S. Troy Road, reported Monday she arrived home around 11:45 p.m. and found someone forced open a rear door to the residence. A gun cabinet, which was bolted to the floor, was knocked over damaging the bottom of the cabinet. Three guns — two .25-caliber handguns and a 12-gauge shotgun — were reported stolen.

• John Predmore, 113 Cantwell Ave., reported he returned to his residence Monday morning to find a basement door to the outside was forced open. About 30 feet of old electrical wire was stolen.
