Autum Robinette, 38, of Xenia, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest related to a traffic stop about 9 p.m. Sunday in Bellefontaine.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office who were on patrol in the area of south Main Street and Township Road 200 observed her vehicle driving with only one functional headlight and initiated the traffic stop in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Company, 1651 S. Main St.
While speaking with Robinette, deputies observed that she displayed signs of intoxication.
She submitted to field sobriety tests.
After failing field sobriety tests, the defendant was informed that she was under arrest and was instructed to place her hands behind her back. However, deputies said she stiffened both of her arms and reportedly refused to place her hands behind her back. She then attempted to pull away from deputies while they tried to restrain her.
Deputies located an open container of alcohol in her vehicle, along with suspected marijuana inside her purse.
En route to the Logan County Jail, deputies said she yelled and cursed at them, stating that they should be catching “real criminals like meth dealers and heroin users.” At the jail, she refused to take a blood alcohol content test.
She also was cited for an open container in a motor vehicle and a headlight violation.
• Randall Stewart, 60, of 7439 Port Royale, Russells Point, was charged with OVI and was cited for speed during a traffic stop about 9:05 p.m. Saturday in Lakeview.
Deputies reported observing a speed violation with his vehicle in the area of north State Route 235 and Stephenson Street and initiated the traffic stop in the area of Lakeview Harbor and State Route 366.
While speaking with the Stewart and his passenger, deputies observed an odor of alcohol and asked Stewart to step out of the vehicle.
They observed that he displayed signs of intoxication and he submitted to field sobriety tests.
He was transported to the jail, where he refused to take a breath test.
• Alic C. Bickham, 22, of 201 Maple St., Belle Center, was charged with OVI early Sunday morning after an incident on U.S. Route 33.
Deputies were dispatched about 3:10 a.m. to the area of westbound U.S. 33 near County Road 10 in reference to a vehicle parked in the roadway.
Upon arrival, deputies noted that the vehicle was parked in the right lane with its left front tire on the center line. They found that the vehicle was still running and in gear, and the driver, Bickham, was asleep and had an open can of beer between his legs.
Deputies were finally able to wake the driver up, and they observed that he was extremely unsteady on his feet. He refused to take a field sobriety test, and was transported to the jail, where he tested 0.158 blood alcohol content level during a breath test.
He also was cited for open container in a motor vehicle, parking on a highway and no seat belt.
