Casey Allen, 27, of Marysville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and received an open container violation during a traffic stop Sunday evening on State Route 47.

Dispatchers of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office received reports of an intoxicated driver and disabled vehicle about 10:45 p.m. in the area of Benjamin Logan Schools. Deputies located her vehicle on S.R. 47 near Township Road 230.

While speaking with the driver, Allen, deputies observed a prescription pill bottle with her name for buprenorphine, along with a near empty bottle of alcohol on the passenger seat.

Deputies observed that she displayed signs of intoxication, and she refused to take field sobriety tests. At the Logan County Jail, the defendant agreed to submit to a urine test. She also was cited for driving under a non-compliance suspension. A report also will be forward- ed to the Bellefontaine Municipal Court regarding the incident.

• Mark M. Starbird, 24, of McGuffey, was charged with OVI during a traffic stop about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Dispatchers received reports of an intoxicat- ed driver in the area, with callers noting that the driver was unable to maintain a lane of travel, and nearly had caused an accident in the area of U.S. Route 33 and State Route 292.

Deputies located the vehicle and initiated the stop at U.S. 33 and the exit ramp to U.S. Route 68. They noted the vehicle had heavy damage on the passenger side, which were consistent with the vehicle striking a steel guardrail.

Starbird displayed signs of intoxication, and reportedly admitted to deputies that he had consumed several beers. He submitted to field sobriety tests and was transported to the jail, where he tested 0.049 blood alcohol content through a breath test. He also submitted to a urine test, as deputies were suspicious that he also was under the influence of another substance in addition to alcohol.

The defendant also was cited for a marked lanes violation and driving under a non-compliance suspension.
