A city man who allegedly stabbed another man and fired a weapon at him was among 25 individuals indicted by a Logan County grand jury this week.
Jarvis M. Magee, 29, was charged with felonious assault and two counts of discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or a school safety zone, second-degree felonies; having weapons under disability and tampering with evidence, third-degree felonies; and misdemeanor endangering children.
He allegedly returned to an apartment at Red Bud Apartments, 868 E. Sandusky Ave., in the early morning hours of Feb. 10, and, after finding Kandale Harrison of Columbus inside, began to attack him with a knife.
When they separated, Magee reportedly produced a gun and fired at least two shots, which left the apartment and traveled into adjacent units. No one was injured by the gunfire, but Harrison was treated for stab wounds.
After firing the shots, Magee fled the scene and stashed the handgun in a shed at a 433 N. Elm St., residence, unbeknownst to the resident. He turned himself in later that day and led officers to the handgun.
