Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are investigating reports of a rash of vehicles with slashed tires in the Russells Point area that occurred sometime Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning.
Deputies responded about 6:30 a.m. Thursday to 7465 Edison St., Russells Point, to speak with Chris Dyer, who reported that tires had been slashed on two of his vehicles overnight.
While deputies were in the area, they observed that tires had been slashed on vehicles at 8074 Bell Ave. for a vehicle owned by George Lones Sr.; two vehicles at 7425 Edison St., owned by Elizabeth Drake; a vehicle at 7395 Edison St., owned by Bonita Foust; and one vehicle at 7386 Edison St., owned by Brandon Estep.
While speaking with Drake, she told deputies that she observed her dogs barking between 2 and 5 a.m. that morning, and she believes that is when suspect(s) might have been on her property.
In addition, another neighbor provided deputies with video surveillance footage from his residence for their review. This matter remains under investigation.
