Parents and community members who want to keep track of what’s going on at the Indian Lake School District can do so with a swipe of the smart phone screen after the introduction of a new mobile app.

The app, which was developed by the district’s website management company SchoolMessenger, provides quick access to a news feed of stories from each school building, a schedule of school events, lunch menus and parental access to the portal for student information and forms, district public relations specialist Jamie Ross told the board.

“This is a lot of information that is already on the website, but it makes it easier to pull up on a smart phone,” Ross said.
