COLUMBUS — A former city man and Dublin area teacher was indicted on two third-degree felony counts of sexual battery for alleged sex acts involving a student, WSYX/WTTE-TV reports.
Gregory Richard Lee, 52, a 1983 Bellefontaine High School graduate, was charged by a Franklin County grand jury this week after being arrested in June, according to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien.
Lee was a teacher at Dublin Scioto High School at the time of the offenses, was placed on administrative leave, followed by the school district demanding his resignation.
Authorities allege that from November 2016 through May 2017, Lee engaged in sexual acts with a female student under the age of 16 in both his classroom and in his car at a public park.
Prior to his teaching and coaching career at Dublin Scioto, Lee spent some time working in the Bellefontaine City Schools.
Arraignment for Lee was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25.
