The Ridgemont Board of Education accepted the resignation of its superintendent and approved a random, mandatory drug testing policy at its regular meeting Thursday night.
Seven-year superintendent Emmy Beeson has accepted the superintendent position at Tolles Career and Technical Center in Plain City, effective Aug. 1.
Her three-year contract at the career center includes a $122,000 annual salary.
“While my heart will always be at Ridgemont, this is a move I needed to make for my family,” Mrs. Beeson wrote in an email message sent to Ridgemont parents and community members.
