Timothy Butler, 46, of Russells Point, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for a stop sign violation following a traffic stop about 12:15 a.m. Sunday.
Officers of the Washington Police Department on patrol in the area of State Route 366 and State Route 708 and observed the motorist fail to stop at a stop sign. The driver displayed signs of intoxication, and he admitted to drinking and failed field sobriety tests.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he refused to take a blood alcohol content test. Mr. Butler was released to a sober driver.
Interstate warrant served
Officers arrested Christopher W. Gault, 46, of Marysville, for an interstate warrant following a traffic stop about 3:20 p.m. Friday in the Fox Island area.
His vehicle had no front license plate and an Arizona plate on the rear of the vehicle. After making contact with the driver, officers ran his information on the in-car computer and received a caution wanted person alert.
He was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
