Deputies report a 50-year-old woman was located and was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital after she went missing for a short time Tuesday evening.
Deputies responded to an address in the 3900 block of County Road 130 about 6 p.m. in reference to a distraught woman who left on foot from the residence. With assistance from Russells Point Police Department officers and Bellefontaine Fire Department personnel, a search was conducted in the area for her.
An Ohio State Highway Patrol aviation unit also was dispatched to the area, just as the woman returned home on her own.
3 teens lodgedfor theft of smart TV
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office arrested three teens Monday related to a theft of a $4,000 smart TV from a Russells Point area residence at 7534 Township Road 269.
Deputies responded Monday morning to that address to speak with Samantha Lafferty of Lakeview. She said she had been dog-sitting that weekend for the homeowners, Linda Sundburg and Michael Maxwell.
She reportedly had friends over the previous evening, and said when she woke up Monday morning, the TV was gone.
Deputies charged Thomas K. Roberts, 18, address at large, with grand theft, and he also was issued a Logan County Juvenile Court warrant.
Ryan M. McCafferty, 18, of 312 Wren St., Bellefontaine, was charged with complicity to theft, and Mason M. Diener, 19, of 854 S. Township Road 31, Bellefontaine, was issued a probation violation.
All three defendants were lodged Monday in the Logan County Jail. Deputies are still working to recover the TV.
