Ben Logan artists’ work on display

Benjamin Logan Schools announced Friday that artwork by students has been accepted into shows.







Work by seventh-grader Tyler Berry was accepted in the 2012 Ohio Art Education Association’s Young People’s Art Exhibition and will be on display Feb. 27 through March 27 at the Rhodes State Office Tower, 30 E. Broad St., in Columbus.

Only 140 pieces of student art from the nine OAEA regions in the state of Ohio were selected for the show. The entire YPAE show will also be displayed at the Ohio Department of Education building during the summer of 2012 and some will be selected for display at the OAEA Convention in Cincinnati in November.

Artwork by seventh-grader Courtney Garwood was accepted in the 2012 Ohio Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month Exhibition and will be on display at the State Teacher’s Retirement Systems building, 275 E. Broad St., Columbus, during March.

Additionally, work by eighth-grader Larissa Graber was selected as the third place winner in the Grade 6-8 Category, OAEA Ohio 2012 YAM Flag Design Competition. Larissa’s design also will be displayed at the OAEA Youth Art Month exhibit during March.
