A taste of Africa

CCS African feast

From the left, Kingdom Investment  International representatives Alan Hale, his wife, Carolyn Miller, and CEO Jean-Paul Tiendrebeogo, serve up African fare, including jollof rice, fried plantains and chicken prepared with traditional African seasonings, Thursday to Calvary Christian School student Grace Lecrone and others during their lunch period. Mr. Tiendrebeogo said the feast was a way to say “thank you” to the school and all of its pupils for their sponsorship of 14 children in the African nation of Burkina Faso this school year. Each month, CCS classrooms donated about $43 per adopted student, or $600 total, to the Christian non-profit that has provided the adopted students with access to education and helps meet basic needs.
