Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office conducted compliance checks at 11 different alcohol retailers around the county Wednesday evening, and the results showed improvements from previous checks.
During this most recent check, two store employees made a sale to an underage buyer working with the sheriff’s office, as compared to four employees who made an underage sale during compliance checks in January.
“Retailers have done a good job of training their employees on the proper procedures,” Sheriff Andrew J. Smith said.
Summonses for the sale of alcohol to an underage buyers were issued Wednesday to Kendra Beech, 20, of 23501 State Route 47, West Mansfield, an employee of the East Liberty Grocery Store, 9675 E Foundry St., East Liberty; and Anna Hanjora, 33, of 11300 Mohawk Path, Lakeview, who is employed at Clark Station, 13365 N.
