Jamie S. Boise, 42, of 9174 Breezy Way Drive, Lot 22, Belle Center, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and received a citation for having an open container in a motor vehicle and for speed following a traffic stop Tuesday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office observed her vehicle speeding about 8:10 p.m. in the area of County Road 96 and State Route 117, where a traffic stop was initiated.
An odor of alcoholic beverage was observed coming from the vehicle. Open containers of alcohol also were observed in the vehicle.
Ms. Boise said her live-in boyfriend, passenger David Mowery, 60, had called her that evening asking for a ride. She admitted to drinking two beers earlier that evening.
She was transported to the Logan County Jail, where field sobriety tests were administered. She also tested a .261 blood alcohol content.
Mr. Mowery was issued summons for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a pipe with suspected burnt marijuana residue was found in the vehicle.
