The band earned a superior rating and third-place Class A trophy at the Columbus Grove District Contest. The performance was good enough to secure a spot in the Ohio Music Education Association State Band Finals at University of Dayton’s Welcome Stadium at a date to be determined.
The band’s color guard also earned a superior rating and won first place in Class A. The drumline earned an excellent rating.
This year’s show theme is 1968 — A year of change featuring large pictures of people and events that made 1968 a pivotal year in American history.
The band is directed by Joe Antram, who has announced he is retiring at the end of this school year.
