Makemson lodged for beating woman

Wesley Makemson, 29, of 547 E. Columbus Ave., Apt. 14, was arrested for assault Sunday after he allegedly attacked Donna Moran of Rushsylvania.

Ms. Moran was found on the porch of his residence covered in blood around 1:40 a.m. Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department reported she was conscious, but appeared to be intoxicated.

She was transported by a Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.

Officers were not able to reach the defendant at that time.

He was arrested around 10:25 a.m. when officers returned with the victim to retrieve her personal items from the apartment.

He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
