An area farmer is one of 10 finalists from a four-state region to fill five Board of Director positions at Farm Credit Mid-America, one of the largest lending cooperatives in the country.
Lowell Hill of DeGraff, owner of Lowell Hill Farm, is among the nominees chosen from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.
A grain farmer, Mr. Hill is a 41-year employee of Thomas & Marker Construction where he is general superintendent.
He earned a degree in agriculture education from The Ohio State University and is a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau, Ohio Soybean Association and the American Soybean Association. He currently serves on the Bellefontaine Farm Credit Advisory Committee.
