Driver charged in alcohol-related injury crash

Cody M. Diener, 19, of Bellefontaine, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs following a rollover crash Tuesday evening that sent three people to the hospital.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report that he was operating a southbound vehicle on County Road 130 near County Road 13 about 10:15 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve. He then drove off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and a fence and overturned, ending upright.

One of his passengers, Faith L. Dameron, 24, of Lakeview, was transported by MedFlight helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

The driver and another passenger, David B. Ramos, 19, of Bellefontaine, each was transported by Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital.

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department, a Bellefontaine engine and Robinaugh squad also responded to the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
