Students of Benjamin Logan High School salute Kathleen Joy Dela Peña, who died Aug. 31 of leukemia, with a sign beneath their bleachers during Friday’s football game against Bellefontaine High School, where Joy, as she was known to friends, was a student. A 5K fun run and walk to remember Joy and raise funds for her family is being planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at BHS. The event is by donation any runner or walker wishes to make to the cause.
