Donn A. Avers, 58, of Elmore, was cited for failure to control after a 5:45 a.m. crash today on the eastbound U.S. Route 33 ramp from U.S. Route 68. Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report he was transported by a Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was southbound and turned onto the ramp. The tractor-trailer, carrying liquid asphalt, rolled onto its side. The Bellefontaine Fire Department and the Logan County HazMat team responded to help clean up spilled fuel and asphalt. Another tanker was en route around 9:15 a.m. to offload the crashed rig.
