Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department are investigating a four-vehicle crash around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Main Street and Dowell Avenue. One of the drivers left the scene. According to officers, Kyle D. Gillen, 20, of Huntsville, was southbound on Main and drove into the turn lane to pass a blue Chevrolet Impala and turn left onto Dowell. That motorist also wanted to turn left onto Dowell and clipped the Gillen car as it entered the turn lane. The Gillen car was then hit from behind by a car operated by Diana Fillinger, 60, of Rushsylvania, and knocked into the northbound lane where it collided with a sport utility vehicle operated by Sarah Harbison, 34, of Troy. Ms. Harbison was treated at the scene by a Bellefontaine squad for a scrape to her left arm. The driver of the Impala drove from the scene. The investigation continues into the crash.
