David King was elected chairman of the Union Township Trustees at the recent year-end and reorganizational meeting.
The trustees agreed to continue to meet at 6 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the township house.
However, the January meeting has been moved to 6 p.m. Jan. 20, to allow ample time for preparation by the fiscal clerk for the year.
Trustees remind residents salt and grit will be used sparingly this winter because of the shortage of supplies. The township is in receipt of a letter from the Logan County Engineer’s Office informing officials the township’s readily available supply has been cut in half from that used in previous years.
