Larry D. Morrison III, 23, of Lima, was charged with assault Thursday and transported to the Logan County Jail following an incident at Mad River Mountain, 1000 Snow Valley Road, Zanesfield.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the ski resort about 5:50 p.m. in reference to an assault complaint from an employee.

Rhyan E. Trout, 18, of Russells Point, said she had walked out of a restroom that day and Mr. Morrison grabbed her by the arm. He then reportedly told her to come outside with him, but she was able to break free from his grasp.

Ms. Trout contacted her supervisor, who then contacted the sheriff’s office. No injuries were reported to Ms. Trout.

Earlier that day, deputies reportedly had talked with the defendant, who had been walking along the U.S. Route 33 exit ramp to County Road 28. They had given him a ride to Mad River Mountain, where he said he would wait for someone to pick him up.
