Adult, 4 children treated for minor injuries after crash

Donald L. Oldaker, 66, of West Liberty, and four children in his vehicle were transported by BMRT squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries sustained in a crash about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Mr. Oldaker was operating a southbound car on County Road 104 just north of State Route 273 when he drove off the left side of the roadway on a curve and struck a ditch.

The driver was wearing his seat belt. His car sustained moderate damage.

The crash is still under investigation by deputies.

• David K. Busch, 49, of Cincinnati, was cited for failure to yield following a two-vehicle crash about 12:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies report he was operating a westbound pickup on County Road 5 when he stopped at the stop sign at County Road 1. Then he drove into the path of a southbound car operated by Sarah A. Godsil, 25, of West Liberty.

The two drivers were wearing their seat belts and were not injured. A 1-year-old passenger in the car was properly restrained in a child safety seat and was not injured.

Damage was heavy to the car and light to the pickup.
