The transition from a downtown storefront to a higher traffic shopping center on the city’s south side has been smooth, the business owner reports.

And with the sign going into place over the weekend, Buckeye Spirit is now at home in its 1724 S. Main St. location in the Fontaine Plaza, owner Arlene Fedderson said.
“We’re doing really well and I’m seeing a lot of new faces,” she said, noting that the move has allowed her to pull customers from busier department stores such as JCPenney and Big Lots that are also located in the shopping center.
“I also get business from people passing through on (U.S. Route) 68 driving between Cincinnati and Toledo that aren’t using (Interstate) 75. It’s a hidden feature of the area that a lot of people don’t realize.”
