Man lodged after dispute with his mother

Michael D. Huffman, 51, of 125 W. Rush St., Rushsylvania, was charged with domestic violence following an incident at his residence Monday afternoon.

Deputies responded to his residence about 5 p.m. in reference to a domestic dispute. They spoke with his mother, Donna Huffman, 70, who said her son had been upset and had struck her with a phone book, knocking her glasses off her face.

Mr. Huffman was located in an upstairs bedroom, and he said he accidentally struck his mother with the phone book.

He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
