UPDATE: Driver in stable condition after crash

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story had an incorrect crash date.

A motorist was transported to a Columbus-area hospital after he reportedly crashed and was thrown from his vehicle about 6 p.m. Sunday near Township Road 151.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Brandon A. Norris, 20, of Belle Center, was westbound on S.R. 287 when he lost control of the 2003 Acura RSX he was driving, traveled left of center, overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the roadway.

The vehicle struck a ditch, flipped and overturned before eventually landing on its top in a cornfield.

Impact of the crash caused Mr. Norris to be thrown from the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office confirmed today he was transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with incapacitating injuries.

Hospital officials reported Mr. Norris was in stable condition Tuesday morning.

Allen Township Fire and EMS responded.

The crash is still under investigation.
