Russells Point Village Council in a regular meeting on Monday learned it has been approved for a few hundred thousands dollars worth of storm water improvements within the village.
Logan County Commissioner Dustin Wickersham announced the village was chosen to receive the statewide Community Development Block Grant funds in the amount of $300,000 to upgrade the village's storm water infiltration system. About 2,000 feet of new storm water pipe will be laid as part of the project.
This project will dramatically reduce clean water infiltration and will improve drainage, Mayor Robin Reames said.
