Authorities continue to receive reports from city and county residents who have recently found bottle bombs on their properties.
The residents said they had read local media reports regarding issues with the bottle bombs in the city that were being investigated by the Bellefontaine Police Department and Bellefontaine Fire Department.
The first county resident, Teresa S. Russell, who resides along Township Road 204, Bellefontaine, said she heard a loud explosion Saturday evening or early Sunday morning, and then found the remains of a bottle bomb Sunday.
Another resident who lives along Charyl Road near County Road 130 also heard an explosion Saturday evening, and found the bottle bomb Sunday.
Firefighters also found bottle bomb remains after responding about 2:20 p.m. Thursday to 741 Eastern Ave. Jason Varner is listed as home's owner, according to Logan County Auditor records.
No injuries were reported in the incidents.
