West Liberty-Salem school board members Tuesday in a monthly meeting were updated on the ongoing building renovation project, and passed a resolution to that effect.
School board members approved a schematic design with their architect and construction firm that lays out designs for parts of the project being funded by the Ohio School Facilities Commission.
Construction of the $28.8 million project is to begin on or around March 16, 2015, with an estimated date of completion scheduled for Feb. 22, 2017.
Step increases were reinstated for administrative positions, including for the elementary school principal, middle/high school principals, athletic director, food service and maintenance/transportation supervisors, superintendent and treasurer.
The measure includes a one-time $500 adjustment for administrators who were subject to three years of step and base wage freezes.
Several personnel moves were approved by the board, including the resignation of transportation and maintenance supervisor Amanda Randall upon conclusion of her current contract. Resignations also were accepted from Tina Seaburn and Jordan Reser, special education teachers.
